Sister companies celebrate relocation of Norwich office

Morgan Sindall Group companies, Morgan Sindall Construction & Infrastructure and national housing developer Lovell, have hosted a joint celebration at Broadlands Business Park, where both businesses are now located.

Morgan Sindall Construction & Infrastructure’s Norwich team is now based on the first floor of the Lakeside 500 building, alongside sister company Lovell who moved into the second floor of the same building a year ago.

The move follows sustained growth for both companies and has provided them with contemporary, well-equipped space – perfectly located to service their growing pan-regional client base.

Morgan Sindall Construction & Infrastructure’s construction business in the East operates from three offices across the region; Norwich, Ipswich, and Cambridge, and covers an area including Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and parts of Essex. The business is currently on site delivering a number of high-profile schemes across the region, including the new headquarters for world-leading UK marine science agency Cefas (The Centre for Environment, Fisheries and Aquaculture Science). The company is also constructing the new £23 million West Suffolk Operational Hub (WSOH) development, and has recently delivered over 1,000 new school places across Essex, with a further 1,700 places due to be completed over the next two years.

Lovell, which specialises in land-led residential development, will build over 350 homes across East Anglia this year including schemes in Norfolk, Cambridgeshire, Essex and Suffolk. In-demand developments include Firs Park, Hellesdon, a £13.8 million, 67-home scheme creating 57 homes for open market sale and ten affordable homes on the northern side of Norwich which is now nearly sold out. The company’s Heath Farm development of 162 open market sale homes and 51 affordable homes at Holt, north Norfolk, is also attracting strong sales. In King’s Lynn, Lovell has just launched Dewside, a £14.2 million development of 89 open market sale and affordable homes, which is the latest phase of a large-scale partnership with the Borough Council of King’s Lynn and West Norfolk.

Saul Humphrey, managing director of Morgan Sindall Construction & Infrastructure’s East region, said: “We’re delighted with our fantastic new office and it’s great to be celebrating this move with our sister company Lovell. The move marks a full circle for our business, as Morgan Sindall Construction & Infrastructure was the principal contractor for much of the Broadlands Business Park development.

“This relocation signifies the start of an exciting new chapter for Morgan Sindall Construction & Infrastructure in the East, as we look to build on our growth and success for the future. Our move to Broadland Business Park represents investment in our people, creating a special and inclusive place for them to work in an inspiring and motivational environment and it’s wonderful to see our team settling in so well to their new workspace.

“We’ve enjoyed an outstanding year of growth in the East, having been appointed to deliver prestigious and high-profile schemes such as CEFAS and the new West Suffolk Operational Hub. We’re now looking forward to the future in our new home and continuing to develop our presence across the region.”

Lovell regional managing director Simon Medler said: “Our move to Broadland Business Park has been highly successful, providing our team with a high-specification, brilliantly-located working environment and giving us the ideal base from which to continue expanding our East Anglia business. We’re excited to welcome the Morgan Sindall Construction & Infrastructure team to Lakeside 500 at the same time as we celebrate the anniversary of our own move and greatly enjoyed marking the occasion with our partners and clients from across the region.”

Adam Smith, executive director of Lothbury Investment Management, owners of Broadland Business Park, said: “Broadland Business Park is the region’s premier business location. Its exceptional landscaped environment and wide range of facilities continues to attract the region’s leading businesses and we are very pleased that Morgan Sindall Construction & Infrastructure and Lovell, which are both a perfect fit for the Park, have joined us here.”
