Morgan Sindall scoops two prestigious Construction News Awards
Morgan Sindall’s expertise has been recognised at the Construction News Awards 2012. The construction, infrastructure and design business was awarded the much sought after ‘Judges’ Supreme Award’ as well as the ‘£10 million to £50 million Project Award’ for their Paddington Station Span 4 Roof Renewal project.
The ‘Judges’ Supreme Award’ is presented to the project that the judging panel believe deserves particular recognition and demonstrates the highest standards and most positive contribution to the construction industry.
The awards were presented in front of almost 1,000 guests from across the industry at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London on Tuesday 10 July.
Jag Paddam, managing director Infrastructure at Morgan Sindall says: "We were delighted to be recognised with these awards, particularly the Judges’ Supreme Award which was a very pleasant surprise on the night. It is fantastic to see our achievements recognised by our industry peers.
"I would like to thank our Paddington project team whose hard work, commitment and expertise on this project ensured its success.”
The £43 million Paddington Station Span 4 project was completed to an agreed time and budget in September 2011. The project included demolition, structural steel repairs, structural strengthening, cladding, glazing, platform tiling, painting and M&E installation. The project was undertaken for customer Network Rail and key stakeholder English Heritage and was carried out above a live public area and railway line.
