Morgan Sindall raises almost £5,000 for Sue Ryder charity in East Anglia
Teams from Morgan Sindall’s offices in East Anglia are celebrating after raising nearly £5,000 for the Sue Ryder charity.
The national company, which has offices in Ipswich and Norwich, is working on construction projects across the region and its project site teams have managed to raise an impressive £4,845 by donating items into donation stations which they have installed both in their offices and on some of the larger construction sites. The teams hope to reach £5,000 by the end of the year.
Sue Ryder provides support to people with disabilities and life-shortening diseases, their families, carers and friends, offering care at home or in residential centres. The charity has 13 care centres across the UK, providing compassionate care and support for people with palliative, long-term and end of life needs – including The Chantry, a neurological centre in Ipswich.
Yvonne Whitehead, area manager at Sue Ryder, said: “We’d like to thank everyone at Morgan Sindall for their help and support. The money raised will go a long way in helping Sue Ryder to provide our incredible care for people with life-changing illnesses. Whether it’s bringing comfort to someone’s final days or enabling them to make the most of their life, we are here for them and their loved ones."
Gavin Napper, area director from Morgan Sindall, said: “Sue Ryder is a brilliant charity which plays a really important role in providing support for people with palliative, long-term and end of life needs and we are delighted to be able to show our support for such a good cause.
“Our construction teams in East Anglia have done a fantastic job to raise such a significant amount for the charity and we are going to continue with the donation stations next year. It has been a really successful and easy way to support Sue Ryder and we are pleased we have been able to do our bit to make a difference.”
