Morgan Sindall opens new office in Hull
Morgan Sindall has expanded its operations by opening its first Hull office in Alfred Gelder Street.
A team of multi-skilled professionals, headed up by project team leader Steffan Speer, are now based at the office in Hull city centre.
The company, which has strong expertise in the healthcare, education, leisure, transport, student accommodation, energy, waste, and commercial sectors, has moved into Humberside following growth of the business in the region.
Morgan Sindall is currently working on the first of two contracts, worth £71 million, under Hull City Council’s Building Schools for the Future (BSF) programme. Good progress is being made on the construction of Winifred Holtby and Tweendykes – a new secondary and special educational needs school in Midmere Avenue, Hull; and the Archbishop Sentamu Academy – a new academy in Preston Road, Hull.
“We are delighted to have a new base in Humberside and look forward to taking an active role in shaping the future of the region,” says Steffan. “Our team have the necessary skills to deliver an exceptional service for our customers across a multitude of sectors.
“The main construction frame of both school projects is nearing completion and the Hull community is now able to get a sense of what the completed schemes will look like.”
Morgan Sindall has been appointed to deliver the initial four-year construction programme in the Hull BSF scheme, lead by the Hull Esteem Consortium, which comprises Morgan Sindall Investments, Robertson Capital Projects and the Sewell Group. The £400 million contract involves a 25-year partnership to redevelop 17 schools.
