Morgan Sindall is only contractor to regain place on £100 million local authority framework
Morgan Sindall has become the only contractor to be reappointed to a four year construction framework following the successful completion of a series of projects in the North Lanarkshire region, including the £19 million Daisy Park Community Centre, the £1.9 million Dunbeth Nursery and the £20 million Chryston High School & Cultural Centre.
North Lanarkshire Council, which has enjoyed a fruitful professional relationship with Morgan Sindall since 2008, has reappointed the company to the second phase of its Schools and Centres 21 Framework which has pre-approved £100 million of spending.
As a successful bidder, Morgan Sindall will now bid for design and build contracts via a mini tendering process.
Under the framework, contractors will deliver a range of education buildings covering the spectrum of nursery, primary, secondary and additional support needs (ASN) premises.
Harry Thorburn, Managing Director of Morgan Sindall’s Scottish business, said: “We have forged an excellent relationship with North Lanarkshire Council, having worked with them previously. We are pleased to have successfully delivered the first phase of this framework.
“However, we take nothing for granted and are keenly aware that we must maintain the standards we have set for ourselves on any of the projects we are fortunate enough to be appointed to deliver.”
