Morgan Sindall hits the right notes at open mic night for Alder Hey children's charity
The North West construction community enjoyed a night at Matthew Street’s legendary Cavern Club in Liverpool during a special ‘open-mic’ night, raising £1,800 in total for Alder Hey Children’s Charity.
The event was hosted by construction and infrastructure company Morgan Sindall. It was the company’s seventh such event and is the third consecutive year that the construction company has supported the children’s hospital, which is Morgan Sindall’s North West charity of the year.
The charity night attracted over 180 attendees and showcased some fantastic musical talent from across the industry including acts from Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, JM Architects, Curtins, Liverpool John Moores University, Wirral Chamber of Commerce, WSP and Influential.
Barry Roberts, area director at Morgan Sindall, said: “Our seventh open mic event was a fantastic success, a great turnout and networking opportunity with £1,800 raised for Alder Hey Children’s Charity, a fantastic cause.
“We’d like to thank all our guests for purchasing a ticket, attending and taking part. We had a wonderful time performing; listening to some great music and making new contacts all whilst raising money for this fantastic charity, which has made a difference to the lives of tens of thousands of children and their families.”
Clare White, Chief Executive of Alder Hey Children’s Charity said: “We would really like to thank Morgan Sindall and everyone who attended their special ‘open-mic’ night. The money raised will help us deliver life-saving research into childhood conditions.”
Morgan Sindall will be hosting their next ‘open-mic’ event in Manchester in May 2018 and plan to return to the Cavern Club in November 2018.
