Morgan Sindall helps hostel clean-up
Morgan Sindall has helped to paint a brighter future at The Marylebone Project, the largest centre in the UK dedicated to helping homeless women.
The Morgan Sindall team, who work on the Paddington Station Span 4 project, spent a day cleaning and painting the hostel. The centre, which has been running for over 100 years, aims to resettle women into independent housing, helps them to access education and secure paid employment.
Brian Handcock, head of sustainability and quality at Morgan Sindall, said: “We often get involved in local projects and were delighted to be able to help out such a worthy cause which provides vital support for women in need.”
The project was facilitated by Time for Paddington, a programme which connects companies to charities and communities. Roberta Boschi, manager of Time for Paddington, said: “This was a fantastic opportunity for everyone involved to help a good cause whilst learning more about each other’s projects. The team completed the task brilliantly within the time frame and really connected with the local community, making new friends in the area where they are working.”
