Infrastructure shortlisted for the Working Mums Awards

Morgan Sindall Infrastructure has been shortlisted by WorkingMums.co.uk at their annual Top Employer Awards in three categories; Innovation in Flexible Working Award, Best for Dads Award and the Best for Returners Award.

The business is proud to be a part of the celebrations this year having been successful at the awards events in 2017 and 2018. 2019 is a milestone year for WorkingMums.co.uk as they celebrate the tenth year of their awards event.

The awards recognise employers large and small, as well as teams and individuals working within them, who have worked hard to change workplace culture and help employees combine successful careers with family life.

Morgan Sindall Infrastructure has been developing its diversity and inclusion strategy for more than five years and it is now a significant part of the company’s culture.

This is reflected in the creative ways to recruiting new and under-represented groups into the business - from encouraging people back to the industry through a bespoke Returnships programme, to localised recruitment drives to meet the demands of the skills shortage, as well as a complete review of all policies to ensure that they are family-friendly and to help ensure that employees can achieve a positive work / life balance.

We are keen to welcome people from all walks of life into our business, and our family-friendly culture has helped with a significant change in our employee make-up. Over 20.5% of our employees are female, which is 6.5% more than the industry average and approximately 70% of our total employees benefit from some sort of flexible working arrangement.”

The winners of the awards will be announced on Tuesday 5 November at the Soho Hotel in London.
