Morgan Sindall Construction retains place on Suffolk Construction Framework

News |

Morgan Sindall Construction has retained its place on a major construction framework covering the east of England.

The company has been appointed to three lots on the new £750 million Suffolk Construction Framework and will now tender to deliver projects for public sector customers with several other contractors on the four-year programme.

The Suffolk Construction Framework was established by Suffolk County Council and will be available for all public contracting authorities in the east of England from June 2019 to June 2023.

Morgan Sindall Construction has been appointed to lots two, three and four, which cover projects varying from £500,000 to more than £8 million.

The contracts will be managed by Concertus Design & Property Consultants, a wholly owned company of Suffolk County Council, who will govern the procurement of a full spectrum of traditional construction, refurbishment and demolition schemes in education, health and community.

In addition to the contractors undertaking traditional construction and refurbishment works, the framework can be used for specialist trades via the main contractor.

The new framework replaces the previous four-year £500 million Suffolk Construction Framework. Morgan Sindall Construction was one of 14 contractors to be appointed to the framework for projects valued from £250,000 to more than £2 million. The company has been awarded £70 million of contracts through the framework to date, completing 100 per cent of projects on time and creating 690 pupil places.

During the previous Suffolk Construction Framework, Morgan Sindall Construction received a 9.8/10 average customer satisfaction score, with 96 per cent of waste diverted and a 43/50 average Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS) score.

Steve Holt, framework manager at Morgan Sindall Construction, said: “We’re very pleased to have secured our position on the next generation of the Suffolk Construction Framework. The projects procured through this framework will require specialist expertise and insight to help deliver some of the most transformative and impactful schemes for public sector bodies across the east of England. The Suffolk Construction Framework acts as a powerful vehicle to deliver the best results for customers and ensure that they can experience the benefits of early engagement and create longstanding, effective partnerships.
“Morgan Sindall Construction is extremely proud to have been involved in a diverse range of projects through the first phase of the Suffolk Construction Framework and we’re looking forward to continuing this legacy and the partnerships we have built on to create even more projects that communities across the east will benefit from.”
