Project description

Sighthill is the largest Transformational Regeneration Area (TRA) in Glasgow, with a developed masterplan of £250 million.

When complete, the project will have created a new neighbourhood on the north side of the city centre, just 15 minutes’ walk from George Square.

Morgan Sindall Infrastructure is currently delivering TRA Contract 2. We are providing new road infrastructure and utilities, platforms for new housing, the new Sighthill Park and public realm works.

The centrepiece of the development is the Civic Square and Boulevard which features extensive areas of granite paving, kerbs and setts and high-quality street furniture.

Enhancing communities

Using our on-site training facility, we have created employment and training opportunities for young people and ex-military personnel through our partnership with BUILD North Glasgow and TIGERS (Training Initiatives Generating Effective Results Scotland). So far, 15 young people have acquired construction-related skills and achieved full-time employment through Morgan Sindall Infrastructure and our supply chain.

Our Community Investment Group supports our project teams in the delivery of local community engagement projects including school and college visits.

Testimonials

“I look forward to the next stage of the transformation of this area being delivered through this contract. The regeneration will unlock the potential of Sighthill as it becomes an ecofriendly neighbourhood, one that is effectively on the doorstep of Glasgow city centre.”
