Project description

This £7.7 million landmark headquarters building sits within the flagship Enterprise Zone at Beacon Park, a premier business location and established hub for the energy sector on the east coast of East Anglia.

The project was delivered by Great Yarmouth Borough Council, the park's owner and developer, and is occupied by Proserv, a growing energy business providing products, services and bespoke solutions to clients across the international energy industry.

The 6,050 sqm base comprises modern office space and storage facilities as well as several specialist areas including laboratories, engraving areas, test rooms, clean rooms and welding and soldering areas. The team also created a large external yard for deliveries and a car park for 164 vehicles. The site will be home to 190 Proserv staff.

The work at Beacon Park was a great example of the region working together collaboratively and strategically to ensure the infrastructure is in place to strengthen Great Yarmouth’s capability as a global offshore energy hub.

The project was part funded with New Anglia LEP (Local Enterprise Partnership) aimed at bringing projects to market that improve skills, enhance communities and develop local economies.

Early involvement of the supply chain during collaborative design workshops helped identify 10% cost savings for the project.
