Enhancing communities
Working Together

Project description

This £7.7 million landmark headquarters building sits within the flagship Enterprise Zone at Beacon Park, a premier business location and established hub for the energy sector on the east coast of East Anglia.

The project was delivered by Great Yarmouth Borough Council, the park's owner and developer, and is occupied by Proserv, a growing energy business providing products, services and bespoke solutions to clients across the international energy industry.

The 6,050 sqm base comprises modern office space and storage facilities as well as several specialist areas including laboratories, engraving areas, test rooms, clean rooms and welding and soldering areas. The team also created a large external yard for deliveries and a car park for 164 vehicles. The site will be home to 190 Proserv staff.

The work at Beacon Park was a great example of the region working together collaboratively and strategically to ensure the infrastructure is in place to strengthen Great Yarmouth’s capability as a global offshore energy hub.

Working together with our supply chain

Working together with our supply chain

Early involvement of the supply chain during collaborative design workshops helped identify 10% cost savings for the project.

"This has been a fantastic project to be involved with – my first experience of construction. The offsite and build team have worked really well together despite being the tenant rather than the client. I have felt an integral part of the team with a considerable amount of influence. Both myself and my staff are very happy with the finished building."

Simon Harvey
Head of Operations, Proserv

"It has been a pleasure working with the Morgan Sindall Construction delivery team on this project which has been delivered on budget and on time with a tight delivery target given the commitments outside of the project. The team has worked particularly well in responding to a considerable number of occupier variations that were identified during construction and were required. All have been met and we now have a happy occupier!"
