Typhoon training facility
The brief required Morgan Sindall to engage with multiple European partners who formed the Eurofighter procurement consortium of defence contractors and suppliers.
The facility was built on a fully operational RAF base and airfield adjacent to occupied accommodation blocks, including the Officers Mess and various support facilities. The building comprises classrooms and training areas, administration and welfare facilities, five simulator halls with secure computer and hub rooms along with support workshops. The building environment is fully maintained via a BMS controlled HVAC system designed to service-state-of-the-art cockpit simulators.
