Developing airports’ infrastructure across the country

Morgan Sindall was awarded the first framework in November 1995 for major airfield work at BAA’s south east airports. In March 2003, the framework was extended for a further 10 years to cover the Scottish
airports and landside infrastructure projects. To date the team has delivered over 250 projects valued in excess of £500 million.

The framework was established as a partnering arrangement working as an integrated team with the BAA design and project management teams. This allowed the development of processes and products which led to the subsequent award under a separate contract to the Morgan Sindall team, for the construction of 750,000 square metres of new airfield pavements with associated services required for Terminal 5 at Heathrow.
