Airbus fuel testing facility
We won the contract to build a 2,500m2 fuel test centre. The facility incorporates an avionics test area, a large workshop for assembling test specimens and office accommodation. The building is designed to contain spillages and is protected by sophisticated fire detection and sprinkler systems.
When inside the fuel test centre, experts circulate fuel in special machines - adjusting the temperature, pressure and aeration levels to simulate different conditions during flight and refuelling exercises.
The fuel systems test facility will allow Airbus to perform development and in service tests on the fuel systems for their A380 and A400M aircraft and for future programmes.
