ILVA Store, Gateshead Metrocentre
We were asked to return to a building which was originally built by Morgan Sindall and we completed the fit-out for another retail client, Marks & Spencer, to redevelop the existing out of town retail store for new client ILVA, a Danish furniture retailer.
A radical rebuild to ILVA's exacting designs involved new glazed facades and atria, new cladding and the installation of a feature stairwell and escalator. Internal finishes were upgraded with a mixture of high-quality stone and timber flooring, stainless steel handrails and glass balustrading, plaster ceilings and high-quality lighting.
