Furniture store

Roomes is a family run business, which has been trading in Upminster since 1927. To add to the two existing stores we were asked to construct a new furniture store.

 

The project involved the demolition of an existing garage and associated workshops to construct the new 1,500m² two-storey department store.

 

The building is steel framed with brick facing walls, precast upper floor, with the roof being slate on timber half trusses to the perimeter and the remainder in lightweight metal decking.
