Primary healthcare

 

As a major construction partner in primary care, we’re helping to shape and deliver many of these new-style facilities. For example, under the Government’s Local Improvement Finance Trust (LIFT) public private partnership initiative, we’re playing a pioneering role in the design and construction of a new generation of community-based ‘super surgeries’. They include multi-service health centres which house GP surgeries, dental practices, district nursing and dedicated facilities for therapists, podiatrists, pharmacists, midwives and other health care professionals.

 

We understand the challenges involved in the design, coordination and integration of customer-focused primary care services. Not only do they need to provide best value to the communities they serve but they have to be flexible enough to meet future accommodation needs as well as being cost and energy-efficient to run.

 

So we work hard at engaging, informing and involving you and your stakeholders in shaping these facilities to ensure they meet expectations right from the beginning. Through early project involvement, we can find ways to improve buildability, reduce costs and speed up delivery times by applying best practices, such as value engineering, modular construction and off-site fabrication.
