Archie Norman House

We were appointed to build a two-storey building which accommodates a wide range of facilities including a hydrotherapy pool, multi-sensory bathrooms, a family apartment and 22 extra beds. Archie Norman House is the UK’s largest facility for the rehabilitation of children with acquired brain injuries (ABI).

First we demolished the existing single-storey Archie Norman House. We then built a brand new replacement using a concrete frame, masonry cladding and a specialist timber flat roof. Internally the floors are PC planks.

Internally, we provided further facilities including an under floor guided wheelchair mobility system, a Possum system which allows children with even the slightest movement to control their environment and a day lounge.
