As part of the Building Contractors Joint Venture, Morgan Sindall undertook the design and construction of a new 669 bed major teaching hospital for Health Management (UCLH) Plc, a PFI consortium chosen by University College Hospitals NHS Trust to design, finance and build the new facility and run a range of non-clinical services.
Construction took place in two phases, with the main hospital being complete by Spring 2005 and the remaining facilities finished in 2008. The state-of-the-art facility brings together all the NHS acute care facilities that are currently provided by The University College Hospital, The Middlesex Hospital, The Elizabeth Garrett Anderson Hospital and the Hospital for Tropical Diseases.
