We were the project managers to the Fife Health Board responsible for the management of phase two of the West Fife District General Hospital.
The project comprised 30,000m² of additional facilities providing 394 beds in the short stay, obstetric, acute and medical wards. In addition, clinical support facilities such as coronary care, out-patients, accident and emergency and eight operating theatres were provided, together with a range of diagnostic and ancillary support
service departments.
Also included were administration and catering facilities, a mortuary, chapel, on-call accommodation, a post-graduate medical education centre, car parking for 350 cars, boiler house expansion, new incinerator and additional infrastructure. The project also included the substantial refurbishment of part of phase one to which it is linked.
