Delivering utility improvements across the North West

The AX4 contract, which is one of the largest utility frameworks in the UK, provides water supplies, wastewater collection and electricity supplies for United Utilities customers. Works involve the maintenance, rehabilitation and extension of United Utilities networks and associated equipment.

All of the utility strains cover both long-cycle and short-cycle works with each project ranging in value from £500 to £1,000,000. The wide scope of the contract has allowed Morgan Sindall to utilise its in-house
capabilities. Its tunnelling division has assisted with shaft-sinking and tunnelling and its infrastructure division has assisted with the delivery of the Sefton Drive project which involved the upsizing of existing sewers to remove 31 properties from the flood register.
