Two million to benefit from gas mains renewal

National Grid signed its largest partnership contract with Morgan Sindall in April 2005 to form the West Midlands Gas Alliance. The work, which involves the replacement of 2,800 kilometres of gas mains in the West Midlands, forms part of National Grid’s ongoing mains replacement programme to ensure the continued safe and reliable supply of gas to two million people.
