Area Alliance Agreement to boost 400 kilovolts transmission system

Morgan Sindall, as part of a consortium with ABB and Atkins, was appointed by National Grid to deliver major enhancements to the existing 400 kilovolts electricity transmission system covering the Midlands, North West of England and North Wales. The Area Alliance Agreement is for five years, with the option to extend for a further five, subject to performance and funding from the Office for Gas and Electricity Markets.
