Securing the Midlands’ power for the future

On behalf of E.ON, Morgan Sindall has delivered up to £35 million of annual investment across the East and West Midlands and has been a partner of choice of E.ON since 2002. Morgan Sindall was awarded a further four year contract in January 2006, with a value of £150 million.

The project team carried out a wide range of activities for Central Networks covering the installation of water mains, gas mains, low and high voltage cables together with associated connections and metering. Services included fault finding using the latest technologies, repair and restoration including a 365 days a year / 24 hours a day service. It also involved new business connections, domestic connections, capital cable laying, multi-utility in association with developer housing sites and excavation and reinstatement support to Central Networks direct labour teams. In addition, Morgan Sindall undertook G78 mobile telephone mast installations on behalf of Central Networks for mobile network operators.
