Police and Fire Joint Services Headquarters 

The new joint Police and Fire Services Headquarters building will be located on the site of the existing Wimborne Road Fire Station and will include Poole Police Station and Custody Suite, accommodation for the CID Divisional Command and Support Services, commercial branch and Fraud and Fire Area Command for Bournemouth and Poole, together with infrastructure works.

 

During the project Morgan Sindall joined forces with Dorset Fire and Rescue Service to carry out a simulated rescue from a huge tower crane. Trained rescuers from Poole and Weymouth Green Watch scaled the 37-metre-high crane to simulate a rescue from the crane’s cab. This is the type of rescue procedure that would be performed if the driver suffered a heart attack or collapse.
