Marshes End Fire Station
The work at Marshes End, Poole is part of a £58 million PFI scheme to upgrade emergency service facilities in Poole and Dorchester under the Dorset Emergency Services Partnership Initiative (DESPI).
The design provides two large fire appliance buildings arranged around an access yard whilst the rear building has access to the training yard and training tower with staff car parking beyond.
The site benefits form direct highway access with the new access being created directly onto a major trunk road roundabout. The garaging includes exhaust extract systems and controlled vehicle access doors.
We enabled the use of a temporary fire station to enable early completion.
