HMP Perth - Phase 1 Regimes Building

The first contract to be carried out under the Framework Agreement with The Scottish Prison Service was for the provision of a Regimes and Energy Centre at HMP Perth. The project also contained the construction of new food serveries within the existing prisoner halls.

 

The Regimes building consists of a new laundry and kitchen which can cater for over 500 prisoners. The building also provides training workshops for various trades functions ranging from joinery, brickwork and painting to crafts such as hairdressing, industrial cleaning, vocational training and wood assembly finished goods. Educational facilities include IT rooms, classrooms and interview rooms. The building also provides office accommodation and related facilities for up to 100 prison staff. External works were the provision of a hard-standing area and enclosed football pitch and prisoner exercise areas.
