Morgan Sindall was chosen to negotiate a further scheme for Unite to provide 213 bed spaces near the centre of Coventry.

 

We demolished a former accommodation block situated on the site, using the crushed material as fill for the new building.

 

We used cranes to install ‘ready-made’ modular student bedrooms, complete with en-suite bathroom pods to maximise efficiency of construction and reduce wastage. The new accommodation also included fully-equipped kitchens and lounge areas. The elevations constructed with both brickwork and an insulated render.

 

Fine tolerances had to be met in the early stages of the project to avoid any future construction issues which led to successfully meeting the programme dates.
