Bleachfields, University of York 

The design and build 248 residences with private bathrooms and shared kitchen and dining facilities in six blocks of three and four-storeys.

 

The project was situated in the middle of a fully operational university campus. Coordination of site activities had to be carefully considered to cause no disruption to members of the public, the students and staff. Regular coordination meetings were held with the university. Due to the location of the project an archaeological watching brief was required on site resulting in careful planning of on site operations to work around the exploratory excavations.
