Light Hall School
A very large proportion of the former Light Hall School was destroyed by a fire in February 2006.
We won the contract to demolish the fire-ravaged blocks and build a modern three- storey teaching block on the footprint of the old school. The building is 3463m² and accommodates 20 classrooms, a new performance arts suite, learning resource centre and a kitchen and dining hall.
We worked closely with the school to develop initiatives to incorporate the new build development into the school’s curriculum - to enhance the pupils’ learning.
We prioritised communication. Through regular meetings with both the school and local residents, we were able to provide a smooth continual operation for the school and the surrounding area.
