Didsbury Point

The 65,500 ft² four-storey steel framed office sits above a reinforced, naturally ventilated basement car park. Morgan Sindall also provided a ground level car park with all associated spine road works. Curtain walling, terracotta rainscreen and pre-cast stone panels are used to clad the building, creating an exquisitely modern façade.

 

During design development, it was necessary to develop a solution to overcome movement of the steel frame. Design restrictions of the secondary steelwork required for the pre-cast stonework created additional challenges. Morgan Sindall worked with the design team and to develop a cost effective solution which did not compromise the requisite design parameters of the curtain wall.
