Cambridge Water Company
The new Cambridge Water Company headquarters building has been designed utilising the retained front façade - a key feature of the existing 1930’s pumping station.
The materials generally have been selected for their sustainability and recycling potential and to achieve comfortable internal environmental conditions. The heat reclamation and bore hole water cooling controls minimise energy consumption simply and robustly.
The building contains three storeys of high-quality office space, meeting and breakout spaces. The façades are predominantly glazed front and back and framed at each end with copper clad plant and stair enclosures.
