“We have previously delivered a large number of healthcare developments in a range of sizes and in very different locations and we look forward to bringing our experience to bear on this project.”

Neil McCullough, Spire’s Group Development Director, said: “We are pleased to be working with Morgan Sindall in developing this state-of-the-art hospital for the East Midlands.

“Nottingham is a successful and vibrant city and we are looking forward to joining the local health community with a hospital befitting of the city’s status. Spire is working closely with medical professionals in the area and their engagement and feedback has been pivotal in designing a facility that will allow us to deliver our vision of providing world class healthcare.”

This site, by Nottingham City Airport in Tollerton, will place Spire in an ideal position to serve the Nottingham and wider East Midlands market. It is anticipated there will be significant employment and economic benefits to the local area, with around 250 jobs created.
