Morgan Sindall and Lovell appointed to £3 billion Constructing West Midlands framework
Morgan Sindall and Lovell, a leading housing and regeneration business, have been appointed by Birmingham City Council to the newly formed Constructing West Midlands Framework.
The framework has been established to provide public sector bodies throughout the West Midlands with a vehicle for the efficient procurement of building and construction works.
With an estimated value of up to £3 billion, the framework will run for a minimum four-year period with the potential to be extended to eight years.
Morgan Sindall and Lovell have been selected to work on lot seven of the framework, which comprises the delivery of individual capital construction projects and major programmes of works costing over £500,000. The framework will be available to Birmingham City Council as well as any other public sector body within the West Midlands region.
Morgan Sindall and Lovell are sister companies within construction and regeneration group Morgan Sindall Group plc and will be working together as Community Solutions West Midlands.
Dave Smith, regional managing director for Morgan Sindall, says: “Selection onto this important framework is based on excellence as well as the ability to provide timely delivery and outstanding value for money.
“The appointment of Morgan Sindall, working alongside Lovell, reflects not only our track record, depth of experience and clear construction capabilities but also the proven ability of Morgan Sindall Group companies to work together in order to deliver innovative and cost- effective solutions for our customers.”
David Gough, regional director for Lovell, adds: “Having worked on many projects in Birmingham in recent years, we have developed some excellent partnerships, and we’re looking forward to contributing further to the ongoing development of this region. Working with our sister company Morgan Sindall, we will be able to offer the highest quality service whatever the project.”
