Enterprise Centre of attention

A photograph of the Construction News Awards event

Our University of East Anglia Enterprise Centre project team received the Sustainable Project of the Year Award at the 2016 Construction News Awards, held at Grosvenor House Hotel in London on 14 July.

The project is no stranger to praise in the industry. A pedigree of innovation in sustainable construction, the University of East Anglia Enterprise Centre has been the recipient of plaudits at home and abroad. Completed in 2015, the centre, which achieved unprecedented initial Passivhaus airtightness readings, is the greenest commercial building in the UK. From its recycled concrete base, to its locally sourced Thetford Forest timber frame and Norfolk thatch cladding, this is a project that never lost sight of its sustainable ethos. Winning such a coveted national award has secured this project’s landmark status.

Morgan Sindall was shortlisted for seven awards in total, and was highly commended in the Sustainable Company of the Year category.
