Leading UK construction and regeneration company, Morgan Sindall Group, is celebrating after winning 72 Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS) National Site Awards this year. A large proportion of these awards were secured by Morgan Sindall, the construction and infrastructure division of Morgan Sindall Group, which secured an industry leading 53 awards, surpassing its 2015 total of 40. The other awards were won by Overbury and Lovell, the Group’s fit out specialists and affordable housing provider respectively.

Of the 53 awards accrued by the construction and infrastructure business (48 Morgan Sindall projects and five in joint ventures) 10 projects, including the company’s work on Paddington Station roof, an upgrade of James Paget Hospital in Great Yarmouth and Rykneld Primary School in Burton on Trent, received the prestigious Gold award. The most honourable accolade, however, was its Brampton Primary School project, in Cambridgeshire, securing the runner up prize for the most considerate site. Morgan Sindall’s 2016 performance outshined last year’s achievements when the company secured a table-topping 40 awards. This is the third year in a row where Morgan Sindall has been the highest scoring considerate contractor.

CCS National Site Awards are given to the highest performing construction sites across the country, which have demonstrated exceptional levels of consideration in securing everyone’s safety; respect for the community; caring for the workforce; enhancing site appearance; and protecting the environment.

Graham Edgell, Director of Sustainability and Procurement at Morgan Sindall Group, said: “In an industry like ours, it’s paramount that we keep everybody safe and are considerate of those affected by our works. We’re continually striving to be the best we can be in this respect and I’m thrilled that this has been recognised by the Considerate Constructors Scheme. Our construction and infrastructure division has done particularly well this year, surpassing last year’s haul of awards considerably. We will continue to abide by, and exceed, the principles of the Considerate Constructors Scheme and hope to secure even more awards next year”.
