Incidents
The Total Commitment to a safe workplace encompasses safety and environment, with targets of 100% Safe and zero environmental incidents.
Our business has no environmental conviction or enforcement notices in effect.
Performance is measured as Environmental Frequency Rate (EFR) i.e. serious environmental incidents per 100,000 hours worked. Click the graph on the right to view our latest figures.
Waste
The Total Commitment to reducing waste is a key goal for all industry. Quantities of waste will vary with work type; we divert as much as possible from landfill. Our target is at least 90 per cent diversion of wastes from landfill. Current performance is 93 per cent (2011). Click the graph on the right to view our latest figures.
Carbon
The Total Commitment to reducing energy consumption and carbon emissions is our goal in reducing contribution to global warming.
Carbon performance is reported through the Carbon Reduction Commitment Energy Efficiency Scheme and the Carbon Disclosure Project. Our target is to reduce carbon emissions by at least 10 per cent annually. In 2010-11 we achieved a 35 per cent reduction. Performance is verified independently through the Achilles CEMARS scheme - you can download the latest report.
