When does the application process open for 2012?

What is the recruitment process?
Applications should be made via our online application system, and should include an up-to-date CV and covering letter. Your details will be reviewed and if you are successful you will be invited to come for an interview.

What degrees do you look for?
We recruit from construction management, commercial management, quantity surveying degrees, civil engineering, mechanical engineering and electrical engineering degrees.

I’m a non UK citizen, can I still apply?
Yes, as long as you have a valid work permit.

Do you offer support for me to complete my professional development?
Most definitely. We actively encourage our graduates to register with the relevant professional scheme and provide support in the form of a mentor to help you as you work towards Chartership.

If I was sponsored by Morgan Sindall, would I be able to work over the summer vacation period?
We offer vacation placements to all our sponsored students as long as the work is available. We will also do our very best to ensure that the position is in a location close to where you live. If you’d rather go travelling, we’ll support that choice, too!

What support can I expect from Morgan Sindall if I am a sponsored student?
In addition to the financial benefits and the opportunity for industrial placements, we offer guidance and direction to help you complete your course work successfully. Also, if you need to attend meetings to gain experience or knowledge or talk to an employee for a professional opinion, we can arrange that too.

What’s the possibility of working in a location near where I live?
We have many projects across the UK so it’s highly likely that there will be a location to suit you, although in some cases, you may have to relocate. Our project locations are available on our website.

Am I able to gain sponsorship after my industrial placement?
At the end of your placement your line manager may recommend that we sponsor you for your remaining years at university. If your application is approved you will receive a bursary paid on the condition that you work for Morgan Sindall for at least two years following graduation.

Do you visit university career fairs?
Yes we do. We visit universities each year, both at careers fairs and to make presentations.
