Development, training and learning

Our development programmes

Our people have access to a wide range of programmes including personal and professional development, health, safety and environment, IT Skills and technical skills training.

All our managers have the opportunity to enhance their management skills with our range of intensive management skills programmes.

Our directors and senior management teams also further develop their leadership skills through our specialist leadership training programmes and workshops.

Many of our development workshops are co-tutored by members of our senior management team alongside external trainers.

Development reviews and planning
Meetings, with interim reviews, are held annually for every member of staff with their line manager.

The key aims of these reviews are to

• provide feedback on job performance
• review the key tasks and objectives of the role
• discuss career development and training
• review technical skills and knowledge required
• provide an opportunity to share accomplishments and concerns
• set new objectives
